Doing Business In Blythewood

Located directly along I-77 between Columbia, S.C., and Charlotte, N.C., we are ideally located in the path of progress. With three exits and ten miles of highway, Blythewood is destined to become a primary focus of the I-77 Megatropolis.  Our town’s soil is rich for development with a number of key initiatives underway that will become primary attractors for significant new levels of patrons/consumers.

Blythewood is one of the fastest growing municipalities in South Carolina!  Blythewood has grown over 110% from the 2010 census to 2020!  Our community has tripled in municipal boundary size in each of the past 10 year intervals (1 sq. mile in 1990 to 3.3 sq. miles in 2000 to 10.6 sq. miles in 2010).

The Greater Blythewood Chamber of Commerce hosts monthly breakfast meetings and Blythewood After 5 for great networking opportunities.   The Chamber hosts other various activities throughout the year including Doko RibFest in March and Oktoberfest in October!

We are a community whose currently-in-motion master plan was recently awarded the 2010 Outstanding Planning Project by the American Planning Association (SC Chapter)!  Blythewood’s forward-thinking master plan with ideas and vision are actively being pursued, not collecting dust on a shelf.  A master plan supported, in part, by the state’s 6th best investment grade rating (AA-) by Standard & Poor’s.
