Doko Meadows and Amphitheatre

The vision of a family centric park like you'd expect in a much larger city is becoming realty as part of the first phase of the town’s 10-year plan.  Doko  Meadows will become the soul of the community serving as the social center for recreation, music and arts, celebration events, cook offs and competitions.  An exciting 25 acre park will be completed in 2012 providing an atmosphere and environment that will forever change the face of Blythewood.  

And open air market will showcase local events like the weekly Farmers Market. 6 miles of walking trails will wind in and out of wooded areas connecting schools and neighborhoods while passing through sculpture gardens, and large open fields. A 2500 seat amphitheatre set on a beautiful lake will showcase regional artist and events providing a magnificent cultural venue. 

Playgrounds, skating facility, soccer fields, ropes courses and exciting new challenges will be a high priority for children of all ages.
